I have Media Preview and it shows thumbnails on all video files except. ![]() When I play the same recorded video in VLC the media information shows the metadata as HLG - Hybrid Log Gamma which is another HDR standard, different from Dolby Vision. When I play the video through InFuse it shows DV (for Dolby Vision, which uses ST2094/10 metadata). Now, to check further I recorded a sample video in HDR. (Additional Information: You can check HDR using this colour information on YouTube stats for nerds as well, since it doesn't explicitly tell the dynamic range) This is how you know you are playing HDR content on VLC. HDR10 uses SMPTE ST2084 "Perceptional Quantizer" (PQ) metadata. (Note: To check if the content is playing in hdr on infuse, there is no way as of now to get information while the media is playing, however, you can look for the specific icons on media thumbnail.)
